 Economic Development & Jobs

President Kennedy said in 1961, " I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before the decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth ". We were able to put the man on the moon in 1968, Like President Kennedy, I will  take difficult decisions to create a strong Economy in Fremont and creation of thousands of well paying jobs. I believe in good ideas, decision making and effective action. Open to the ideas from the citizens of Fremont.

875 Acres of land around and near NUMMI and Warm Springs Blvd  and 2014 Bart Station should be used as an economic incubator zone to create 12,000 full-time, high paying, and year-round jobs to supplement the job losses of NUMMI. This  would yield high tax revenues for the city, which in-turn could be re-invested into our community. Therefore we have to build quality Schools, top Research University, Parks, Play Grounds, Youth Centers, mixed used Housing, Shops and Restuarents for lasting legacy of most modern, and green 22nd Futuristic "smart-city", with a concept of WOW, to make it a tourist destination. tt will have to be the 8th wonder of the world. We have to make Fremont "GREEN VALLEY" This city will be padestrian friendly healthy city, using recycled water, 20 Acres lot will be reserved for community garden to grow fruits and vegetablles. It should have Verticle Parking. We should call an International competition to submit the plans for the "Smart City". Presently we are using generation 4 in phones and IPads. President Obama would like to send a man to MARS and bring him back, similarly we have to be generation 6 in our futuristic ideas and action.

I organized an " Ecoomic and Exports Development and Jobs, Jobs Creation  Forum "  at Hotel Hilton, Fremont/Newark attended by the top CEO's, business, trade, industry and community leaders of the Silicon Valley and Bay Area on December 04, 2009. Ro Khanna, Deputy Secretary, Department of Commerce, who presided,  talked about the need to develop the economy, exports and creation of job and to develop Green Techonolgy. He said that President Obama gives top priority to these issues

Education:

Work with the School District to fully fund quality education. Build most modern and well equipped schools by involving corporations and foundations. I will make Fremont top most in California.

Work to establish a top Research Universitt and world's best schools on te Prime Land arround Nummi, with play grounds and parks.

Affordable Housing:

Affordable Green Housing and special quotas for seniors, teachers,  police officers, firefighters, small businessmen, nurses and low paid workers of Fremont.

.Others:

Reduce city staff by 10% to make it lean, accountable and efficient by training them in modren management methods and systems to run the City like a corporation. Micro scopically analyse the salary structure, performance of the various deparments and stop cronism. Reform the overall performance of the city to make it more people friendly and responsive.

Consumer Protection,.Senior discounts of 10% in all retail stores

Equal opportunities for women in jobs and pay

Build more parks and playgrounds for the youth and recreation Centers for seniors in all the 5 istricts.

With the support of the citizens of Fremont, I will work hard to make Fremont an economically vibrant and green City to improve the quality of life and the health of citizens. Fremont should be a Healthy City. Please volunteer to the People's Movement to Repower People's  Control of City Council.
